Children's Treatment Centre (CTC) Implementation Task Force


General Mandate and Purpose

The Task Force will make recommendations and provide advice to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
on the development of the CTC in North Bay. During this process, the Task Force will:

• Examine options for the development and implementation of a CTC in North Bay; and
  
  
• Evaluate the options reviewed and provide recommendations to the Ministry (90 days from the
  establishment of the Task Force).

Deliverables

• Reaffirm geography and locations
  
  
• Evaluate options for a CTC and select a model
  
  
• Propose governance and management arrangements
  
  
• Consult on the selected model
  
  
• Provide a schedule of operating and capital costs
  
  
• Prepare a transition plan
  
  
• Submit a final report to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (within 90 days)

The Commitment

The Task Force will ensure that the planning process:

• focuses on children and their families;
  
  
• involves parents in all aspects of planning, governance and service delivery of the recommended model;
  
  
• is open and transparent;
  
  
• moves the System Design Plan forward to implementation;
  
  
• provides opportunities for all interested stakeholders to participate in the process; and
  
  
• connects with all relevant parallel planning processes.
