Children's Treatment Centre (CTC) Implementation Task Force
General Mandate and PurposeThe Task Force will make recommendations and provide advice to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
on the development of the CTC in North Bay. During this process, the Task Force will:
- Examine options for the development and implementation of a CTC in North Bay; and
- Evaluate the options reviewed and provide recommendations to the Ministry (90 days from the
establishment of the Task Force).
- Reaffirm geography and locations
- Evaluate options for a CTC and select a model
- Propose governance and management arrangements
- Consult on the selected model
- Provide a schedule of operating and capital costs
- Prepare a transition plan
- Submit a final report to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (within 90 days)
The Task Force will ensure that the planning process:
- focuses on children and their families;
- involves parents in all aspects of planning, governance and service delivery of the recommended model;
- is open and transparent;
- moves the System Design Plan forward to implementation;
- provides opportunities for all interested stakeholders to participate in the process; and
- connects with all relevant parallel planning processes.
