Reach For The Rainbow
- By walls I am protected / the kind you cannot see
- Barriers of thoughts and emotions / that hide the real me
- Bricks of pain and sorrow / disguise my outer charm
- Built them for security / to keep me safe from harm
- Today I'm their prisoner
- locked away here alone
- The real person inside of me
- is not the one I show
- I've lived with ancient voices / many times they tore me apart
- Now I heal myself with loving words / to mend my wounded heart
- Who can ever rescue me / not knowing what is wrong
- They can't see my problem / I've hidden it so long.
- Today I'm their prisoner
- locked away here alone
- The real person inside of me
- is not the one I show
- Walked through the darkest canyons / lost sight of the sky
- No moon, no stars to guide me / somehow I got by
- I can make my life / what ever I want it to be
- There's a piece of rainbow / waiting there for me.
- I'm going to reach for that rainbow / reach through the rain
- Reach for that rainbow / reach past the pain
- I'm going to reach for that rainbow / reach past the pain.
