Question:
"I have many files and photos stored to floppy A: disks. I would
like to get a printout of the contents on those disks. I have tried
different procedures and have failed. Can you help me with this problem?
My question is: How do I get a printout of the contents of a Floppy
A Disk?"
Answer:
I banged my head against this for a while before I came up with a solution,
and I can't say I'm too pleased with the result. But this will at least
get you a list of what's on the disc.
Open the disc, and
single-click on the <View> option with the left mouse button.
Now single-click on . Maximize the window so you can see all of
the contents.
Now, most keyboards
have a button just to the right of the F12 button called .
Press this button once to capture what's on the screen. Now open up
a new Word document, and single-click on the button. The screen
capture will appear in the Word document. You can save this and refer
to it to see what's on the disc.
This is hardly a
perfect solution to your problem, but I've yet to come up with a better
way to do this. If I ever find a way to print off disc contents, I'll
include a tip on it. Until then, at least this way you'll have some
record of contents.
