How to delete obsolute addresses in
Address Book - Netscape Communicator
Question: "In Netscape Communicator my address book is half full of
obsolete addresses, which I have never been able to delete. The delete
button is grayed out and search as I will I cannot find a means of deleting.
Can you help?"
Answer:
I suspect this is a very quick fix. When the <Address Book> opens
in Communicator, the <Delete> button is always grayed out. This
is because no address entry has been selected yet.
All you should have
to do is single-click one of the addresses you want to delete, and the
<Delete> function will become active.
From there you can
use it to delete all the obsolete addresses. Hopefully that answers
your question. If not, there may be a glitch in the system somewhere.
Let me know how it goes!
