What is HandsFree Browser?

HandsFree Browser (HFB) is a speech recognition tool for MS Internet Explorer 5.x. HFB allows user to control IE fully by voice. User can go to an address, click a link, type forms and control IE window without using the mouse or the keyboard. HFB is easy to use and fully customizable. HFB changes the way people spend their time online.

How does it work?

HFB is easy to install and use. HFB takes you step by step for installing the program and other required components. It also makes it easy for you to setup your sound system to opitimize the use of the program.

When you run HFB, it checks every possible link and form in the page you browse. When you say a link, HFB recognizes what you said and checks if the link is found on that page. If it is there , then HFB will tell IE to jump to the link you chose.

Also HFB can control Internet Explorer (IE) with the most common commands. So the user will not have to click on the browser buttons.

HFB does not require the user to memorize a specific list of commands. User can always change the way he/she addresses HFB.
User can also dictate letters to be filled into forms. Or he/she can fill his/her personal details from a personal database.

What is the system requirements?

Hardware:
Pentium with 166 MHz (Intel Pentium II or higher recommended).
16 MB RAM (48 MB RAM recommended).
Sound Blaster or compatible sound card.
A microphone. (Most microphones are supported. The better sound card and microphone you have the better recognition you will get.

Software:
Windows 95 or 98
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01.
Microsoft Speech API (Available for free)
Microsoft Speech Recognition Engine (Available for free)

Do I need to buy a specific microphone?

No. HandsFree Browser does not require any specific microphone. We still recommend a couple of Microphone for best recognition. They are availbe through our store.

HandsFree Browser is an ad-supported application. That means it shows little ads in your browser so it can support HandsFree Browser to stay free of charge.
