38th General Election Begins
News Release: "OTTAWA, Sunday, May 23, 2004 - The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Jean-Pierre Kingsley, directed today the returning officers in Canada's 308 federal electoral districts to conduct the election of a member of the House of Commons. Election day for the 38th federal general election, set by the Governor in Council, will be Monday, June 28, 2004."
