Canadian Environmental Defence Fund
The Canadian Environmental Defence Fund (CEDF) is a national, charitable, non-profit organization founded in 1984 in order to help citizens gain access to environmental justice. Their purpose is to provide fund-raising assistance, legal, scientific, planning and engineering referrals,and organizational support to grass-roots groups pursuing nationally significant environmental law cases.

Canadian Environmental Law Association
The Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) is a non-profit, public interest organization established in 1970 to use Canadian Environmental existing laws to protect the environment and Law Association to advocate environmental law reforms.

Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy
Founded in 1970, The Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy (CIELAP) is an independent, not-for-profit research and education organization.

Canadians for a Clean Environment
Canadians for a Clean Environment was founded in 1981 by a group of citizens in the Chippawa area of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Although the original focus dealt with local water quality, CCE has evolved into a multi-issue Environmental Organization.

Citizens Environment Alliance of Southwestern Ontario and Southeastern Michigan
The Citizens Environment Alliance of Southwestern Ontario is a non-profit, grass-roots, binational, education and research organization. Formed in 1985, they are committed to an ecosystem approach to environmental planning and management. Their issues include waste management, wetland and natural areas protection, environmental land use planning, energy use and the long-term implications of economic growth on the environment.

Citizens' Network on Waste Management
The Citizen's Network on Waste Management is dedicated to minimizing material and energy consumption, maximizing reuse of used materials, and eliminating waste disposal. The Network was formed in 1981 by five Ontario citizens groups who met to share information and experiences on waste management. The Network also works on educational projects and lobbying of governments to put in place legislation and regulations that will further our goals.

Environmental Assessment Board and Environmental Appeal Board
The Environmental Appeal Board and the Environmental Assessment Board are independent and impartial tribunals established by provincial legislation. The Environmental Appeal Board holds public hearings regarding an appeal made to the Board arising from, amongst other things, the revocation, alteration or issuance of approvals, licenses, permits or orders under various environmental statutes. The Environmental Assessment Board conducts public hearings to assess the merits of proposed development projects, plans, or programs that will have an impact on the environment.

Federation of Ontario Naturalists
The Federation (FON) is a membership-based not for profit, organization dedicated to protecting and conserving Ontario's natural heritage. Founded in 1931, the FON represents 15,000 individual members and a network of eighty-nine local naturalists' clubs. The organization has a long history of education, scientific research, public policy and nature protection programs.

Ontario Environment Network
The Ontario Environment Network (OEN) is a non-profit network serving Ontario's linking over 500 Ontario environmental groups that range from national to neighbourhood-based and focus on a wide range of issues. Sierra Legal Defence Fund
