Another at least temporary court victory for People with Disabilities!
In this case there are implications for at least children with autism.
Provincial government loses court decision over autism funding
Aug 22 - 9:50 PM
VANCOUVER (CKNW/AM980)
-- The provincial government has lost another court decision over
its failure to fund an intensive treatment for autism.
Victoria is already appealing
a B.C. Supreme Court decision that ordered the government to pay for
the Lovass Early Intervention treatment that can cost up to 60 thousand
dollars a year.
Now in a ruling released
Friday, the court has also ordered government to fund the treatment
for 23 other families not named in the original lawsuit.
The ruling is being appealed
to the Supreme Court of Canada.
