Anti WTO Demonstrations in Montreal

 

 

The following announcement is from a newly formed coalition in Toronto which is mobilizing to attend the anti-WTO demonstrations in Montreal starting July 27, 2003.

Questions:

  1. What is going on in Montreal?
  2. How and when are we going to get there?
  3. Anything happening in Toronto?
  4. I want to help organize!
  5. I want to be kept up to date, I have more questions.

2. How and when are we going to get there

  • We are renting buses.

  • Presently, the tentative plans are to leave Toronto on Sat. July 26th late night. Arrive in Montreal for Sunday the 27th for the mass No One Is Illegal Demo. Take part in actions on Monday and leave Monday night.

  • Return tickets for the bus may be around $70. The prices may decrease according to how well we do at fundraising.

  • There will be billeting in Montreal.

  • Seats are going fast! We need to know asap if you are coming as we may need to rent more buses.

  • To register for the bus contact no_wto_toronto@yahoo.ca. Send the names of who is registering and a phone number where they can be reached.

  • A Public Forum on the WTO and organizing against it.

  • Montreal Anti-WTO Activist - TBA

Saturday July 12

  • Location - TBA
  • Skills workshops, banner making, information sessions on the WTO.

4. Want To Help Organize!

We meet every Tuesday at 7:30 pm at 25 Leonard Ave. This is the street behind the hospital on Bathurst and Dundas, use the entrance on the back left side of the building down the stairs. It is wheelchair accessible through the building. Contact us for details. There is lots to do and we need your help.
