VIGIL
FOR KIMBERLY ROGERS
For the Anniversary of Kimberly's Rogers
tragic death
when:
August
12, 2002 at 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm
where:
Queen's Park, Toronto and at the Provincial building in
Sudbury
We are calling
the community to come to a silent vigil to honour and remember Kimberly's
Roger's courage in challenging the government's cruel and life threatening
workfare policies before she died alone, destitute and eight months
pregnant in Sudbury in August 2001, while under house arrest for
welfare fraud. Her "crime" was getting OSAP to earn a degree towards
her future while receiving social assistance....
Information
about the upcoming Inquest into the death of Kimberly Rogers
taking place in October will be available.
Donations to
the Justice with Dignity Campaign: to end the lifetime ban
for
welfare "fraud" and reform social assistance, will be
very welcome
Please bring
flowers! store bought, picked, paper, whatever you can to lay
at the site of the ceremony anytime from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
The symbol of

Dignity Campaign is a white rose
Attend or Organize
a vigil in your community or send a message of support
and or a donation to the Committee to Remember Kimberly Rogers.
